Hello, It's must 7 months since myself and my boyfriend Jeremy did the West Coast Wilderness back in December 2004 and we are still talking about it. It was the best experience of our whole NZ trip and I have to say John our 'guru' guide made it the fantastic trip that it was!! John hope you still remember the PARISH!! My advice to anyone who's thinking about booking a trip is just do it now you won't regret it, you'll get to see the real NZ and have a great craic doing it (except for the attack of the sand-flies but you learn to love them too!).

After 2 trips with NZ Nature Safaris, I have 20 or so new friends,
a lifetime of memories to treasure, and a burning desire to do
it all over again. Waking up in the morning and looking forward
to another great day is the only way to live!

I knew you guys would have a website eventually. I ran across
an old brochure and decided to look you up, and sure enough...here
you are! So Malcolm, remember me? Probably not ; ) I did the North
Island trip in 1994 (boy, time flies!!) I was the short girl with
bad boots and blisters. That was my first bit of real hiking in
NZ. After your trip, I did some biking and then hiked the Routeburn
Track and a few other places.(I LOVED N.Z, gotta go back some
day!) In the U.S., I hiked the entire Appalachian Trail in '98
and '99 (you all should try it!) Anyway, good to see you're still
around. It was a great trip. I have fond memories of it all. Take
care, Aileen (now teaching First Grade in North Carolina) : )

Dear Hiking New Zealand team (and our fearless tour leader Dave,
wherever you are). Well, it's been 2 1/2 years since Armand &
I met on our Secret South trip. We moved in together shortly thereafter,
and we just wanted to let you know that we got married on March
1, 2002! By the way, thanks for the link to our website of Secret
South photos: http://www.xs4all.nl/~adijcks/newzealand/ Going
hiking in New Zealand was the best thing either one of us has
ever done! And it was definitely love--neither of us had showered
for days on end! Talk about getting to see someone's "other" side!
And special thanks to Dave for taking such great care of us. The
memories of that trip are just priceless! Hope we can do it again
sometime...as long as I don't have to come down any more mountains
in the dark!

hey nature safaris crew.... it was about 5 months ago, in january,
that i embarked upon the 1000 acres trip with the esteemed daniel
murphy as guide and an intriguing and jovial international group
in company. i had an unforgettable experience and I would like
to congratulate hiking new zealand on promoting such an excellent
individual (alright dan!). i am sure the rest of your staff is
as amazing as dan was and i am positive that other travellers
will be effected by the hikes in the same awe-striking manner
that i was. i recommend your company to anyone and everyone who
asks about new zealand and hiking (and to those who don't!). thank
you so very much, once again, for the memories of a country unsurpassing
in beauty. happy trails.... amy

Well I have returned from a great West Coast Wilderness Tour.
We filled out the surveys, but I wanted to make sure you guys
are aware of how great your tours are. From the moment we left
Nelson, till the night after our tour in Queenstown, the trip
was perfect. We had great weather, excellent people, and went
to amazing places. We had a fantastic guide in Stan Van Unden,
he was great fun, as well as very knowledgeable about the environment
around us. We all felt very close at the end of the tour, because
we had done some amazing things together. We saw people push past
their comfort zones, and do things we never dreamed possible on
this tour. Noel who couldn't swim did a deep river crossing on
the "Inland Pack Track", it was fantastic. I met some great people,
and I am still in contact with most of them now. I have had to
return to work now, but the dream of coming and doing another
tour in NZ keeps me working hard. This was the perfect holiday
for me, I met great people, and saw the best scenery I have ever
seen. The hotpools, snow capped mountains and beautiful stars
at Welcome Flat were the best I have seen. Spent time with great
people from all over the world. Thanks again to Stan and the rest
of the group for making this such a great tour. Thank you also
to New Zealand Nature Safari's for making these trips possible,
and providing us with a very well set up van and all the equipment.
I will definitely be back in the future.

Well well well. I can't believe it. This was 1996 - and it's years
since I did this tour. It was indeed a spectacular tramp around
and I really enjoyed it. But I really didn't expect my quote to
wind up on the homepage years later. Jeremy

I did the North Island Safari March last year, with a a group
of ten people and a guide called Karen. THe ten days we were travelling,
were without a doubt the most enjoyable and rewarding time I spent
in NZ. I highly recomend anyone who is thinking of hiking in NZ
to go on a safari!

Absolutely loved the adventure of both the North Island trip and
the Western Adventure. Trekking, tramping and hiking is by far
the cheepest and best way to explore the real New Zealand. I'm
coming back again for more.....

I did the West Coast in March with Stan and a great group of people
from all over the world. Being the old man of the group didn't
make a different. NZ is so beautiful. I have shown my pictures
to dozens of people. Never have I worked so hard and enjoyed myself
so much. Keep up the good work. I would love to come back and
stay longer. Thanks Stan, Nature Safaris (& Nick for the great
pictures)and have a great future. Bob

It's been a year since I took the 'West Coast Wilderness' safari.
Since then there hasn't been a day that I did not think back to
that great experience. I can still recall every minute and every
step of the trip. When I came back I started a new carreer and
have been busy ever since. Nonetheless, as Arnold Schwarzenekker
would put it: "I'll be back"!!
